Biodynamic Circle Evenings

We are presenting a series of informal gatherings to get a taste of the work of BCST. There will be time for introductions, some information about BCST, time for Q+A as well as some experiential work. As my practice of BCST deepens, I am more and more fascinated by the human heart. Modern science is revealing what the ancients have always known, that the heart is more than a pump for blood, it is a centre of intelligence.  In each of these gatherings, we will explore a different aspect of the human heart through movement, breath work and guided meditation. There is so much benefit to be gained for our individual lives and for our relationships by connecting to  the wellspring of Stillness, Courage, Knowing, Compassion and Balance that resides in our hearts. My hopes are that these evenings will support you to deepen into the heart’s capacity, that this experience will radiate out into your world and that you will be drawn to reap more of the BCST experience. Craniosacral and Yoga

One thing in common between Craniosacral Biodynamics and Yoga is that it is a meditative practice. It is from a clear and quiet state of being that we approach the client. Healing happens in the stillness. Our basic understanding is that health resides within at all times and it is our work to help the person access this state of well-being. Craniosacral can be a nice complement to work with clients or a new one unto itself.

The Biodynamic Approach

Please join us for this info-conference with Rebekah Crown,  BCST, RCST® , to learn more about the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Training and how you can apply it in your practice to deepen your work.

The birth experience and how it affects adult health. A Biodynamic approach.

Mark Twain said, "the two most important days in you life are the day you are born and the day you find out why."  Birth is a very strong experience on many levels, physical, emotional and even spiritual. BCST examines the birth experience from the baby's point of view. What are the physical obstacles to be negotiated? Where is the joy, fear, pain, and love in this experience? Often, the feelings are so overwhelming that they do not get fully completed or integrated for the little one. Bones of the cranium may be impacted, belief systems anchored in the consciousness. The trained practitioner listens with her hands to the movement of the tissues and allows the body to tell its story. Birth patterns may emerge and are encouraged to resolve into health and alignment. This enhances ease of movement brings a new perspective on life.

Addressing TMJ* issues with Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

What is the source of teeth grinding, facial pain, neck tension and upper neck pain?

BCST intakes a holistic approach to working with localized problems. No part of the body works in isolation and the body is not separate from our mental and emotional lives.  The BCST practitioner listens to imbalance expressed in the context of the overall health of the person and helps the tissues to remember their natural state of balance.

*Temporomandibular Disorder

A Biodynamic approach to trauma resolution - a one hour presentation

Human beings, like all animals, have a natural ability to rebound from life threatening events. Unfortunately we do not always follow our instincts and complete the physiological process that resolves the event. These experiences become frozen in our bodies. Life events can awaken the trauma and  produce symptoms such as  re-experiencing the  event physically or mentally, anxiety, sleep problems, or seeking relief with mood altering substances. The biodynamic approach looks to nature and our own instinctual intelligence for how to restore health and balance.

    • Introduction to trauma theory

    • What are our natural processes to dealing with threat

    • How does biodynamic craniosacral therapy work to resolve trauma
